Pricing
MINIMUM labor charge is $40 to repair any kind/brand of Class AB amplifier. Many times for small amplifiers this is all it will cost because the repair will simply involve circuit board repairs due to vibration causing bad solder conections, or other repairs on smaller amps in which no parts are needed for the repair. Circuit board cracks from vibration (mounting amp to the speaker box), loose components due to cold solder joints are common also.
Class D MINIMUM charges for any repair is $50. Quotes on repair are free, but if you decide to repair it will never be less than $50 on a Class D amplifier. Class D amplifiers use many more parts, and the parts are often more expensive than those in Class AB amplifier. And since they are more complicated on the inside, it takes longer to take them apart and put them back together. Therefore we have to charge a little more as a minimum.
